"Aviator" Alarm 2612/1223815 70000
AVIATOR ALARM first launched in 1959, Poljot “Signal” alarm watches were made based on Adolf Schidle movement. The 2612 proprietary movement, with some improvements, is now still used as the basis for most of Poljot alarm timepieces. It is shock-proof, manual winding, with 18 jewels, 2 crowns, and a buzzing alarm. The homely buzz of the alarm brings you back to the simpler past that has been swept away by all things electronics. It is simple in design yet effective. The 2612 is a manual winding movement which makes watch ownership a more interactive experience. It‘s alarm mechanism is tripped by the hour hand on its center dial, with it’s own spring barrel that is wound separately by its crown at 2 o’clock. The winding powers a tiny hammer that bangs against a stumpy pin welded to the inside of the case back.
